Problem for GE Profile PDW8400J Built-in Dishwasher

We have a GE PROFILE Dishwasher PDW9200 which is now about 6 years old. About 2 years ago, stopped working, had circuit board replaced. Worked well for a while, then lights on door stopped working; was unable to use unless I slid a butterknife in with the door closed and pressed the start button. (All other functions were blank, so I do not know what cycle I was initiating). We had a brief power outage, and after that, there is a constant buzz coming from the dishwasher and I can't get it to work. Time for a new dishwasher?

hello. thanks for choosing fixya. honestly I do recommend that you get a new one. By the time you get your current one repaired you will have almost as much money in it as a new one and you will miss out on lots of things the new ones offer now such as: much more efficient use of power, much more efficient use of water, much quieter. and a much better wash.
