Question about Dell Inspiron 8500 Notebook
I just found this forum, and so far it looks wonderful.
I am David, and I have a business of fixing and repairing the Dell 8500, 8600, M60, and D800 notebooks. If you have not already guessed, those models are very similar and most of the parts are interchangeable. I am eager to read the questions and start answering some common problems.
My Inspiron 8500 screen has lost it. It's run through, vertically, by blue fields (stripes), sometime turning in to little red squares, for instance when the cursor is moved. I can still see most of the graphics behind these flickering patterns. Would you know what causes this? Any help is much appreciated!

Testimonial: "Try getting another video card, a dead screen usually shows nothing, not even lines or bars. Good news is, you can get replacement video cards for a 8500 cheap on online auctions now, and the video card is replaceable on the 8500."
I own one of these, if I run into trouble, I will be looking for you!
