The handle for my Eureka 5993 AVZ was getting very hot when used. Finally, the wires around the switch melted and now the vacuum will not work. What is wrong? Is the switch bad? The wires only melted in the immediate vicinity of the three-prong switch. Nothing else appears to be wrong; the vacuum worked fine when it was running - except for the handle getting hot.
