Monitor turns on and automatically goes into sleep mode. When pushing the monitor buttons, I receive a message that states No signal coming from computer.
Monitor is brand new.

- Hmm... not positive on that one. I turn on the pc, and almost immediately, the monitor goes into sleep mode. Meanwhile, the pc is running (you can hear the fans and hard drives turning).
However, I did hit one of the monitor menu buttons on accident and got a message stating "No signal coming from computer".
I figured graphics card, so I unplugged it and put it back in. No-go. It's my neighbor's computer, I was just hooking it up for her. I'm not sure what OS she's running, nor am I positive of the hardware. I do know that it is an older pc with no MB mounted graphics, so the monitor needs a graphics card. And like I stated earlier, the monitor is brand new.
Maybe the video card on the computer has placed the monitor in Sleep mode, and video signals stop gtill the video wakes up. Could there be something in the Video Setup that has youfr monitor sleeping?

I recieved a (22 inch?) View Sonic monitor last Christmas from my dad and am having this issue. I turn on computer. Power light on monitor comes on as usual. Screen flickers a second or two but no picture. Does not happen all the time but more than not. Thank you, thank you!

the power cord is plugged and the remote power or the monitor power button don't work. Seems like a fuse went in the monitor. I tried plugging into other outlets and did not resolve problem.
