One of the lights in the dashboard is not working- particularly the one in the arm of the speed gauge. It is hard to see what speed I'm in, in first glance since the lights is off. All other lights is working except for that one.

Did you try turning the wheel/knob next to the head light switch? It's the dimmer for your interior lights. Sometimes that happens and some ppl don't know about it. Not sure how familiar you are with it so thought I'd throw that out there.
More than likely this will be the switch assembly for the lights, have seen several cases. new switch unit required, this controls all the lights and wipers, fairly easy to change.
The speedometer in the dash operates off of an electrical signal that it receives from a sensor that is attached to the transmission. There is either a bad connection at the sensor or the sensor is bad. You should not need to disturb the dashboard.
