Snes console My super nintendo has been working fine until today. When I insert a game I get a red and green screen. That's never happened before, I was wondering if there are any suggestions.

My super nintendo will not stay on. the image turns to moving green and red lines and then disappears.

Well I think that the super NES console is broken by now because if you can't get it to work any more but first try cleaning the gamepacks out with qutips and rubbing alcohal if no luck after you tried that. Your SNES console has gone to video game heaven then.

When I turn on the Snes just appears a black screen, i check the RF conection and it´s ok, right channel 3 i clean where you insert the games with alchol it doesn´t work

Well you could try cleanining the gamepacks with qutips and rubbing alcohal.
But the bad scenario is that the super nintendo console is on its way out.

My Super Nintendo-- Black screen, white lines, buzzing sound

You just need to clean the game. Wipe the gold strip on the bottom of the game with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol.

Super Nintendo games start but levels don't

try blowing inside the game cartridge and then the slot the game inserts into. I had this problem on my snes with some games and this helped. Other to that it may be the console is on its way out.

Ebay sell some really cheap snes consoles now. I picked one up for £15.00 with games.

SNES doesn't display?

The CIC chip, also known as lock out chip, may have gone bad. Here is a quote from a site I found.

"Every SNES control deck has a regional lockout chip (known as a CIC), as does every original SNES game cartridge. Before a game is loaded, the console will attempt to communicate with the CIC chip on the game cartridge. If the CIC chip doesn't respond or does not correspond with the consoles CIC, the console won't load the game. In most cases, a black screen is displayed."

Yea basically I am having the same prob with my system and I am trying to fix it. Ill let ya know if i figure it out
