The folder with a ? is telling you the Mac can't find a startup disk. It sounds like the hard drive is bad. Put your restore disk in the dvd drive and turn the computer on. When you hear the chime push and hold the "c" key. It will boot of the DVD.
After you choose your language, go up the the tools menu and choose " Disk utility" You should see your Hard drive then the DVD. Choose analyze disk and see if it passes. If it does, then choose it as the start up disk and re-boot.

I have a aspire one netbook model no. kav60. I have both the pxe-e63 and pxe-m0f errors display when i first boot up. when i go to the device manager it is showing the ethernet controller and network controller drivers are missing. i assume this is related to my inability to connect to the internet. please, what is going on?! how can i fix this?! any/all help is appreciated... thanks
