Re: my oven doors wont close all the way

When the door came open you may have bent the hinges. Open the door fully and it should stop at 90 degrees. If lower than that, then the hinges are bent and will need replaced. Also you may look at the install directions and see if your model shows removing the door. If it is removable for install, you can try removing and reinstalling the door. It is possible with removable doors for them to slide up during install and then they are out of alignment for closing. Hope this helps.

Door to oven does not close completely - how do I access the door hinge to check or replace it?

Open oven door. Flip metal holder down at hinge to lock hinge. Lift door with hinge attached up slightly and off oven. Reverse to re-install door, making sure notch at bottom of hinge is hooked in frame of oven properly.

GE Oven door lock 'engaged' while door was open and door will not close - how do I release the lock?

If your oven door has gotten bent or warped (maybe you rested something heavy on it...), you need to remove the door, disassemble it, and straighten it. You can lift most oven doors off of their hinges by opening the door several inches to its first "stop," and lifting the entire door straight up. If the hinges have become worn, damaged, or bent, you probably need to replace them. We recommend replacing both hinges at the same time, to prevent uneven wear of the undamaged hinge.

How to put oven door back on after removing!

Although very tight (because the oven is only 1 yr old) i managed to get the hinges into the open position, then slide the door into position on the oven and close the door. The hinges did go back and lock as they should but I struggled for almost 30 mins before success.

Dacor CPO230, can't get lock to engage for self cleaning. I follow step clean symbolcomes up door lock moves into locked position then beeping starts and the word door flashes and the lock opens up.

For some reason the oven thinks you have a door that is not shut all of the way. Check the locking slot to make sure that there are no obstructions. Make sure that you are only doing one oven at a time, and not trying to cook in the other. Make sure you have no racks in the oven. Try pushing lightly on the door when the lock engages. For some reason your lock isn't engaging fully and that's why door is flashing. Good Luck
Below is from the owners manual for your oven.

Oven does not self-clean Door not shut tight Check for obstructions. Close door tightly
Oven set for delay timed cleaning Oven will start to self-clean at preset time.
Press CANCEL/SECURE to return to
normal operation
Double ovens only: Other oven is on. Turn off other oven.

KEBS208DSS6 doors wont close compleat

Place a hammer handle between the door and the frame at the hinge location.
Carefully apply pressure on the door to push the door closed.
This will often re-set range door hinges.

GE Double Oven doors locked and circuit not responding

Hi, well this is a brain tester!! I think you need really to look at this in a simple way. Check to see where the door lock wires come from first? Find where the mains power comes into? then if it goes directly to the main control board then check to see if there is any power getting through the board to the otherside where the wires disapear into the cooker. I would consider checking the control board for any signs of burn damage and then look at the clock unit to as these are normally the main components in the cooker that will stop it from working.
Good luck,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Trying to remove front doors from Frigidaire Double oven.

Open the door fully and with a small screw driver, look closely at the hinge area on the oven cavity. There you will see a small lever that will rotate down and lock the door in place. Once in the locked position, begin closing door, you will feel the door 'catch' then lift the door off of the oven.
The door can now be disassembled and cleaned.

F0 display error

ok fo is a communications error and can be in three places the manuel says replace the eoc but ive found that's not always accurate if this is a free standing or slide in range you can pull it out and remove the back top and bottom when the oven goes in self clean the door switch has two functions when the door is open it tell the clock that the door is open and the door latch motor and it turns on the oven light when the door is closed it turns off the oven off and tells the clock and latch motor the door is closed it does this by two micro switches on the latch motor one for closed one for open by means of a plastic cam on the latch motor now if you have self cleaned the range lately then the door locked micro switch may have stuck when the cam rotated back to the unlocked position and with both switches closed the eoc wont let the oven work because it thinks that its in self clean also ive seen mice build nests on the platform that the motor is mounted on and pile insulation on the closed switch and close it that way so you got the door switch the latch motor switches or the mylar ribbon that goes into the eoc its self could be dirty now on the clock or eoc there is a little lock tab at the bottom of the ribbon that you pull up and release the ribbon and gently clean the ribbon and replace it now when testing the switches with a ohm meter you must remove one wires from the switches to prevent getting a false Reading if all this fails then replace the clock now you can call a repairman but most like they will replace the clock without checking the other stuff now is this a free standing range also some where on the range will be a tech sheet with wiring diagram ans stuff it will help you is this a freestanding range or a slide in as componets are located in different places if you need more help reply to me

Ge wall oven blinking door locked for days

The switch inside the door lock mechanism is stuck down making the unit think it is still locked.  the switched is located next to the hook that locks your door.
