Re: Morphy Richards Rapide Coffee Machine

Undo the cap over the cappucinni side and put water into the tank , replace the top and screw on until locked then put the sliding switch to cappuccino then turn on the button for that side , wait until it boils , then turn ouy the pipe with frother on to the side of machine and put your jug of milk underneath pipe so as it is in the milk , turn the dial on the side and the steam will start to come out , the more you turn the dial the more the steam comes out , enjoy , steve.

Coffee dripping through

If this is a machine that heats the water then it could be a built up of limescale. I would suggest cleaning the machine by running a whole bottle of brown vinegar through it and then just plain water to clean afterwards.
Vinegar is not chemical of course and so its not toxic if you ingest some but i used this process to clean my italian style machine and it made the thing work alot better.

Not sure which O ring you're talking about. I recently lost one of the two tiny O rings that seal the stream pipe - it disappeared when I removed the pipe to soak it - necessary from time to time, even with regular cleaning - I guess I just didn't notice it was still in the pipe header, and flushed it down the sink! Anyway, as you say MR were completely useless - took ages to reply to a request for info, and then almost denied all knowledge of the machine. However, my local branch of B&Q sold me a pack of various different sized O rings, and one of these did the trick. Nil desperandum!

DCC-1200 coffee maker. I've had it for 2 months and the clean light came on. I have run several pots of vinegar, unplugged the machine overnight and reset to factory settings and still the machine...

Most coffee makers use a small check-valve in the feed line to the coffee basket and if a small particle gets trapped in it, the pumping action becomes erratic or very slow. To be sure any lime deposits are dissolved, use < 1 cup of Lime Away or similar product such as CLR. Make sure there is no water left in the reservoir and pour the product into it. With no coffee in the basket and the pot in place, turn on the machine and watch for the first drops into the pot, then turn off the machine again.
Let it stand for a couple of hours (I'd recommend against leaving it overnight) and then turn it back on to let it finish pumping the reservoir empty. Check the sediment in the bottom of the pot and if you see any 'crud' such as particles of lime or even a granule of coffee, you may have solved the problem.
If that seems to be the case, flush the machine with a tablespoon of baking soda and then clear water.
Good luck-

Machine stopped working and both buttons are flickering, if I push the left (small coffee) button then the machine starts to pump cold water. If I push the left (large coffee) button nothing happens. Not...

May be busted, but before you take it to the shop try these few things. 1. Unplug machine for 30 seconds 2. Then plug back in, (lights should still be blinking) Take silver handle that you lift when you put in coffee pods and gently push back handle as far as you can for 3 seconds. This should reset your machine, back to factory settings. To then reset coffee cup settings to your personal taste by: 3. You can adjust the fill of coffee by holding the large coffee cup down for as long as you want to fill it. Try holding the button down for 20secs., next cup of coffee should automatically fill for 20 seconds. Do the same for small coffee side. Hope this works,it has for me; just not sure because of the cold water pumping out issue. good luck
