Loose connection all the time. The Modem is brand new. Sometimes the internet is fine but then unexpectadly it goes off then comes back on after 5 mins.

Does this happen only when connected to the router or does it happen when connected to the modem directly ?
if router is the issue, then I would suggest you upgrade teh firmware of the router. that could help .
If it happens with the modem connected directly also, please talk to the ISP.
