HP Digital Media Archive Pop UP

I getting a repeated a pop up box called Digital Media Archive that states "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is not available. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package EZARC.msi in the box below" "An installation package for the product HP Digital Media Archive cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installatio package EZARC.msi" When I click nothing happens and the pop up continue randomly. -I located the HP Archive inn the Add/Remove window and clicked on additional information which shows a source"HP" Clicking on this takes me to home page of Sonics and from there I can't find any reference to HP Digital Media Archive. -I also went to HP Application Recovery and tried to find HP Digital Media Archive to reinstall it, but it is not listed. I'm not on a network and have tried to find EZARC.msi with not luck. HELP! Same problem here as well and i tried the solution. Is msiexec.exe the same thing as ezarc.msi or .exe file?

Re: HP Digital Media Archive Pop UP

If you are running windows xp, go to start / run . type: msconfig
Go to the start-up tab and see if you can find a reference to the "Digital Media" program and uncheck it.
Also look in the start-up folder in Start / All Programs for this program.
You can delete it from there. This does not remove the program, just does not tell it to start automatically. If you don't use the program, uninstall it.
Sounds like one of those ADD-ON programs that get installed with printers or cameras.

I need tech help but can't find a good phone number to call. Please advise.

Install and run an anti virus program like AVG or Avast and then install a program called CCleaner and run it. Then you will want to get an anti-spyware program like SuperAntiSpyware and run that. You may have to go in and reset your passwords for your e-mail and such, also you can install a program called AdBlocker to stop the pop-ups

The "Quick View" keeps popping up and there I

- I have this monitor before and already tried it to another system and it still doing it
- HP w2207 Monitor is known for this issue perhaps checking a stuck button on the monitor could fix the issue because the quick view feature is a built in feature in this monitor.

Osd menu popping up do I stop it

just to make sure we are talking about the same thing, when talking about the OSD (on-screen display) that normally refers to the monitor only, such as the menu to adjust horizontal positioning, or the mode (digital or analog) setting. Is that what you are talking about? If so, what does it say?

Did this just start? Have you recently changed resolution settings? I note in your manual the following warning:

The On Screen Display manager also features pop-up
warning messages for certain situations, such as if you
attempt to set the monitor resolution outside the
recommended range.
It also says:
Your monitor is optimized for 1024 X 768 @ 60 Hz.
Are all cable connections secure?

And if you right click on the Desktop > Properties > Settings, what is the resolution set to? 1024x768 it will be ok
Cannot get osd lockout to go away, have tried everything My hp w1907 monitor is goofed up. A little box keeps popping up that say osd lockout and I can't get it to stay off. Have reset monitor to...

My HP w2408 monitor. I just fixed this issue about 5 mins ago after getting tierd of whacking the buttons with anything handy. There are 2 slots on the underside of the monitor, in between the black frame and silver outer frame. Stick a flat screw driver and use a motion as if to literally pull the black frame away from the monitor. Use caution and dont stick the screw driver too far in. You will hear it pop. Do the same to the other side. There are multiple tabs arond the frame including one in the bottom center. Keep pulling on the free ends of the frame till all the tabs come off. Now you will see the buttom assembly, disconnect the small white connector from the montior. If you dont care for the buttons, which if you have a w2408 or any such model you will never use (auto detects input and auto adjusts) then just pop the frame back on. If you want to go further remove the 2 screws on the button assembly pull down on the silver frame to remove the button assembly. I did not go further then this but i read somewhere that if you wash the assembly in some liquid it will work again. I am guessing some good acohol from walgreens will do. For me I am just glad the message when away.

I know about that volume pop up that refuses to go away. I figured out that it goes away if I press the "Menu" button. If that doesn't work, I have no idea what will.

Pop up menu won't go away.

If you can do the factory reset in the pop up menu, try it. You might have to try with another power supply, cord, or computer and check where the problem is.

-> Click start > all programs > HP Application Recovery

-> When the Application Recovery console comes up, choose Application Installation then click NEXT.

-> When the list comes up, highlight Roxio DigitalMedia Archive by clicking on it, then click the "Install" button.

It should re-install Digital Media Archive, and fix your EZARC.msi search issue or problem.
