Question about IBM ThinkPad T22 2647 Notebook

Thin kpad type 2647 4EU

Error message 091 critical battery error shows up after the logo appears on starting when in battery mode but no booting aftyer this , On adapter power no light at all not even the message , adapter appears ok by multitester , any solutions .My opinion since post test is working motherboard i hope should be ok

If the pc doesn't have a BIOS password then:
1.- look at the error messages on the blue screen,
2.- the blue screen shows errors when a driver is bad or not the right one for the hardware or the OS is corrupted.
3.- try to boot using safe mode.
4.- after the logo and right after it shows the F2/F10/F12 key start tapping the F8 continuosly. If your here a beep stop tapping.

Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically

Try booting into the Safe Mode and check if the issue persists.
Safe mode is a troubleshooting option for Windows that starts your computer in a limited state. Only the basic files and drivers necessary to run Windows are started. The words Safe Mode appear in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you're using.
1. Restart your computer. Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the Shut Down button, and then click Restart.
2. Do one of the following:
· If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you'll need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.
· If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.
3. On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the safe mode option you want, and then press Enter.
4. Log on to your computer with a user account that has administrator rights.
When your computer is in safe mode, you'll see the words Safe Mode in the corners of your monitor. To exit safe mode, restart your computer and let Windows start normally.

Method 2: Also scan the Computer for error using chkdsk command in the Command Prompt from the System Recovery Options Menu.

To open the System Recovery Options menu on your computer
1.Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer using the computer's power button.
2.Do one of the following:
•If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.
•If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to repair, and then press and hold F8.
3.On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Repair your computer, and then press Enter. (If Repair your computer isn't listed as an option, then your computer doesn't include preinstalled recovery options, or your network administrator has turned them off.)
4.Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.
5.On the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool(Command Prompt) to open it.

6. At the Command Prompt, type: chkdsk /r . Press Enter.

When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and attempts will be made to correct them.

My computer encountered the critical 1191 errors how can I fix it?

What the critical 1191 error? What were you doing and when does it come up?

Will your computer boot up and allow you to use it?

Is this some type of message that pops up on your screen once your system is completely booted up? If so it sounds like a virus or infection. Try the steps below.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity) and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. Open your internet browser then download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Go to and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.

If this message is causing your computer not to boot up and show your desktop and icons try running the check disk utility.

To run the check disk utility you will need a repair disc or a operating system disc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot from it. You want to get to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with white letters) and type the following command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice the percentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run to completion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows. Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair when the options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recovery console and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command.

insert the cd into the cd rom, when dell logo appears start tapping F12 it will give you the option to boot directly from cd.
also you can try system recovery if you have recovery partition with ctrl+F11.

Boot to the WIndows XP CD (Press spacebar when prompted to press any key) at first prompt in setup, press R to enter recover console.
At the C:\Windows\System32\> prompt type bootcfg /rebuild then press enter
reboot see if error resolved.
If not then try running diagnostics by pressing Fn plus power button, see if there is a HDD malfunction

quick way to it lose the password, first before entering or loading your boot (OS) Operating System is probably faster to just above the keyboard press the F8, then you will see the options select ( run safe mode) and please you await it.over all windows safe mode you can change you want to change..

Repair your operating system. Insert your WinXP installer. It will search for your previous windows. There will be options like installing a fresh copy or repair your previous windows. Choose repair.

i know what the error is what it is is a wire labeled "MAIN" has disconected to fix it you need to put the wire back into the tiny slot in right bottom corner of the right hole
