Check oil level if good have car scanned for trouble code (check engine light)service reminders dont cut back the porwer the code will give u a start point

You can't reset it yourself because you do not have the equipment to reset it. The best thing to do would be to take it to a shop or dealer, explain what you did, and then ask them to reset the reminder for you. Most shops I know do this for free.

That is not a service reminder. The light comes on when there is an emission/engine control related problem, either with a sensor or engine management component. Go to a car parts store that does free testing (like Napa, Auto Zone, Kragen/O'Reilly's, etc.) and have the code scanned. From there, you will be able to research the code online or come back and ask what could be causing the problem here.

could be the motor thermostat. Make sure the unit is clean. No dust build up in the filters etc. Then here are the motor reset steps.

Motor Thermostat needs resetting

In order to reset the Motor Thermostat:

Move the Power Button to the "O-Off" position
Unplug the vacuum
Check for a clogged hose or filter; unclog the hose and replace the filter
Wait 45 minutes for the vacuum to cool; then plug the vacuum
Turn the power switch to the "I-On" position to start the vacuum
If the vacuum still does not start, contact Customer Service at 1-800-798-7398

My check engine light came on. A couple weeks after that my car started dying. It would only die whenever I'd start to slow down or I'd come to a stop. Also whenever I slow down if my Escort doesn't die....

Bring your car to autozone, they will check why the engine light is on for free. It may need new plugs and wired if it putts but they will tell you for sure!

Oil sending unit is under intake manifold, just behind the oil filter on the passenger side (difficult to see-use flashlight). Best option to change : Get everything to do an oil change, removal of the filter makes easier access..

The red filter light will not reset after replacing the filter on my Miele S5980

Hi There, I actually did a repair on this problem only a couple of weeks ago. The problem could be that the small lever that pushes on the reset button on the circuit board is bent or broken. The little button costs about $10 from memory and certainly a whole lot cheaper than the board itself which is $234. Just to clarify in my case there was nothing wrong with the board, I was able to manually push the reset switch on the board and replace the tiny lever and problem was solved.

I have a Windsor Sensor s12 and power shuts off after 5 min. of vacuuming. I'm wondering if it's overheating of if there is some other sensor that causes it to shut off.

Your Sensor most likely has an internal heat sensor that is shutting off the motor. Some vacuums install an external heat sensor with a reset button that you must push to re-start the vacuum. If your model does not have an external reset button it is most likely a sensor inside the motor. If it is defective the motor must be replaced to solve the problem. But first make sure the overheating is not being caused by a blockage somewhere or the bag is too full. Air must pass completely through a vacuum starting at the floor where it picks up the dirt through all the canisters, filters, bags, etc. and then is exhausted from the vacuum. Any restrictions or blockage can cause the motor to over heat.

Filter queen masjestic vacuum cleaner has a light that should light up when the filter needs changing, it doesnt want to light up. I dont think its burnt.

That is a overhead light not a filter light. If your waiting for the light to come on before changing your filter or haveing the vacuum serviced your going to kill it. Every time you empty the container you should replace your white filter come and ONLY use genuine filter queen cones the aftermarket cheap-os will burn up your vacuum.

How to reset?

The button I think you are talking about is the bag switch. It is located in the bottom right corner where you put the bag. If the bag does not cover it, the machine will not run.
Also, when the machine cuts off when the bag is full, you have to push the power switch off and back on to reset the full bag switch located in the switch control housing inside the machine.
