As long as that Tide HE is not 2x or 3x concentrated, that would be the maximum amount of detergent for a large, heavily soiled load. Lighter soiled and/or smaller loads should be about 1 tablespoon. If 2x concentrate soap, use only half that. The reason this could cause an LE error is that suds between the inner and outer drum will cause excessive drag on the inner tub, with the possible result of an LE error. I'd try to run a load on Sanitary, heavy soil level, with no clothes, and a washer cleaner such as Affresh, Washer Magic, Whirlaway hot tub cleaner, Smellywasher cleaner, or Tide washer cleaner to remove any possible build up of soap residue from the outer tub area.
Sometimes, cycle selection/ loading level/ load type can cause LE errors. Gentle wash cycles, such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for smaller loads. Because these cycles are more gentle in tumbling and spinning, putting too much in the drum can register an issue with the motor. Remove items, reset unit and test with a Rinse/Spin cycle.
Another possiblility would be a loose electrical connection dealing with the Hall sensor, at the sensor, the control board, or (much more unlikely) the wire connecting them.
On rare occasion, the main control board can be at fault, but generally, replacing the Hall sensor does take care of the problem. (over 90% of the time)

Here is some more info for anybody that needs it.
I ran into the same LE error on our LG washer. Tried replacing the Hall Sensor which did not fix the problem (Intermittent LE error).
Here is what I found: I had a cracked solder joint on pin W of my motor harness connector (RD1) on the main circuit board. This caused a intermittent "Open" circuit indication to the computer which causes it to stop spinning and indicate "LE" on the display.
I had to remove the pink connector from my circuit board and dig out the humiseal around the other side of pink connector to gain access to the soldered in pins. Pin "W" just pulled right out when I removed the pink connector on the circuit board. I soldered the male pins back in place and also soldered the female motor wire pins right to the male pins coming from the circuit board. Wrapped electrical tape around them and I'm now operating with no "LE" error for now. I suspect that this is a VERY SIMILAR cause to alot of the "LE" error trouble people are getting. Here is a link to my website with pictures of what I did.
