CD access door in open position,

CD access door in open position,
CD tray will not return into normal operating position. (Does not retract)
Unit was not previously responding to button commands.
Bottom CD tray accessed first, removed CD, and and manually closed tray. Attempted same operations with CD tray #2 (from bottom; counting "up". Removed CD, with tray in "open" position, but tray will now not fully close. No button commands producing any mechanical actions, though the different functions are visible in the display screen.
