router settings are changed itself...for example i define my own network settings with encryption key... but after some time the settings revert back to factory settings itself...naming itself as default and no encryption key..

- well thanx for your input.... i'll try this at home...adn will let you know because haven't set any pass for that window pop.... its simply empty....will try that... plus had a latest firmware update like four month before...can you check and lemme know from where i can download the latest firmware...because i got it installed from the dealer from whom i bought this... and yeah another thing...do i have to put in the DNS address that my ISP provider has given...while m using cable i use that... the question actually is....is there any difference between primary, secondary DNS and preferred, alternate DNS address?? any confusion...please feel free to ask.. thanxSolution #1

When you are in the configuration page of the router (where you can change the settings) are you changing the username and password? The one where a sign in window pops up before you can access the web page. Because if these aren't changed then anyone who knows the default settings can access your router and set it back to default so they can use your bandwidth.
Not saying this is happening but I have seen it many times.
Perhaps try a firmware update (if there is one). Just remember that when you do an update your router settings go back to default.
