Hello Osbourne,
heater or 'blower motor's are prone to bearing failure,which can cause interference between fan & heater box;stopping,or slowing fan.consult a shop manual to DIY,or have a mechanic check blower motor .[I have found a stockpile of acorns causing a problem a time or two!!] Hmmm,Summer OK;Winter.........O nuts.......good luck!
Could be the switch in the dash
could be the relay switch
could be a loose or bad ground
could be the blower motor itself.
Now the fuse probably blew. Without checking and doing a little testing, it's hard to say what it is.
Replace power module. Its under the hood. In the air duct up against the firewalll. About 12" to the left of the blower motor. Has 2 connectors on top. Its black. May be hard to notice. Probably have to remove cross brace to get at.it. Then remove 3 screws and pull it out. Put in new one. Reattach brace
Hi if the car is idling ok when warmed up then it sounds like the choke isnt working (you will notice this more in the cold winter months) Hope this gives you some help
good day;
When was the transmission fluid and filter changed last? Could be that the fluid is dirty and the valve for the reverse gear is blocked. Let me know how you make out.
Blower motor is easy. Under glove box, three or four bolts.
If the drain hole for the A/C condensation gets plugged, it build up and smell stale due to rotten debris. This could also hurt your A/C evaporator core and make eventually even make it leak.
If the water builds up, then it could get in your blower motor as well and cause problems there.
Take the blower motor out and test it by hooking leads from it to your battery. Have a firm grip on it b/c it'll be a squirrel cage blower and it'll want to twist out of your hands if it decides to work.
Take some dye and inject it into your A/C system to trace the leak. I found dye leaking into my floorboard which told me the drain hole was not only plugged but also that the evap core was leaking.
