your dryer is getting too hot. it sounds like you have a ventalation problem. check the vent from start to finish. if it vents out the roof make sure the screen on the roof is not clogged.

I have an LG gas dryer (model DLG0332W, not DLG5932W) that is approx 5y old. I have never been very happy with its performance. It has always taken an extremely long time to dry, regardless of load size or cycle setting. Today I slid it out, cleaned the heck out of the exhaust system, and inside the dryer itself. I disconnected the gas supply line and checked to make sure it was getting gas. I hooked everything back up, put some damp laundry in, set it on time dry at the maximum temp setting and let it run. Ten or fifteen minutes later, I stopped it and opened it up. The clothes actually seemed colder than when I put them in, and again, they were only damp to begin with. I'm guessing the element needs to be replaced, but was hoping maybe there was a fuse or reset or something that I am unaware of. Is there? If the element does need to be replaced, how involved is the repair and roughly how much am I looking at paying for parts? Can I even purchase the parts? I would do the repair myself, and would sooner buy new dryer than pay to have this one fixed.
