Hi
when the external monitor is connected hold down the function key " f n " ( which is located 2nd on left of lowest row ) and then press either the F4 or F5 function keys on top line....the one that has a small icon like a rectangle or tv screen on it ....it has usually 3 toggle positions so if it dosent work first time then just press the same key again (still holding fn key) until it allows the monitor to get the signal.....if F4 dosent work then go thru the same sequence with F5 but depending on the laptop model it could be any one ...F3/F4/F5/F6 the usual suspects....
hope this helps

hi, thanks for your comment...sorry it didnt work for you ....with laptop and projector i use at work, holding the function key at same time as f3 changes the config of laptop screen / lcd input ....sometimes it takes 2 or three "toggles" to get it to set up they way i want it ..ie both the laptop screen and the output to the projector receiving the signal

May be a loose connection, at best, at worst, HDD damaged, etc., etc., etc.. Does it boot? Fan spins? LED's Blink? Sound? Anything? If you connect a External Monitor does it work? There are cable at the bottom and rear of the monitor that can come loose.

Fujits amilo pro v2030 will not boot up

Are you getting the BIOS info on the screen?
If you can access the BIOS check all the setting.
Hard Drive installed, Boot Sequence and so-on.
If you get NOTHING on the screen but can hear it "running", try plugging in a Monitor, you may have to find the monitor key, usually = hold "Fn" + Press "F5" to switch screen to monitor to both.
