Question about Nikon Coolpix S1 Digital Camera
My daughter's Coolpix S1 is having a problem. The lcd screen is black so image is not showing. It appears that the shutter is open. I can see the menu options on the lcd screen, but no image.
Please help, she is freaking out!
This is a common, but unfortunately fatal problem with this model camera. Don't worry, your photos (if taken on the sd card) are all still safe and sound. Just transfer your photos to your computer.
There is nothing you can do that I know of to fix this. But there is a guy (I call him, "the cheap camera repair man"), who fixes this problem for thirty dollars. The website URL for him is:
I hope this helps!
