Question about Nikon COOLPIX L3 Digital Camera
My Nikon Coolpix L3 thinks fresh batteries are dead. Sometimes it will start up, but other times it will not. When it does start up, it just says the batteries are low, and shuts down right away.
It's only about 1 1/2 years old, and it hasn't been dropped or abused.
I saw another message board that said to go into the setup menu, (Menu>Setup>Reset all) and hit ok on the reset all. I did this and it seems to have solved my Exhausted Battery problem. I was about to buy a new camera or send this one for repair, but now it is finally working again for the first time in over a year. Try it! Good luck.

I think this was a firmware fault on some cameras. Check with Nikon to see if there is a new firmware for your particular camera. This can be downloaded free of charge and uploaded to the camera via USB.
