Hey gaz, well look usually a webcam doesn't include a microphone, you must get a USB Headset, and use that OR get a plug In Microphone, it goes into the RED Jack. Some people get a USB Bluetooth & headset. but in any event that is what you need. If you have a laptop, they do have a built in Mic, but do not work very well in that use. You maybe able to setup your internal mic, by using control panel and open the Sounds tab, click on recording and look for the mic, you can set it up there, by clicking on it, and configure properties.
hi, i had the same prob and i tried everything, then i noticed it was nothing to do with my web cam it was windows, the new virsion some how does not support web cams the only way to sort it is to downgrade to an older virson of windows mesenger, i did and my web cam is working a treat, i would rather have the old virson anyway
