when i switch on my printer it comes up with error close cd/dvd guide. The guide is already closed

I have the same problem

I know someone who can solve this problem

Got the same problem, i turn printer on, message says "Close cd/dvd tray", tray is already closed. doh :-(

Error message "close the cd/dvd guide" but its allready closed ! huh.
turned printer on off
Reset the printer. hold power maintenace & stop
held the cd guide closed.

Nothing ;-(

Any ideas?

Guide still says open when its closed, ive now half stripped down the printer hoping to find a micro switch or somthing....... so far no good......

Hi, I stripped the printer down ;-) found a micro switch which i would have thought was the problem, however its not, Just ended up buying a second hand R300, must have printed over 10,000 CD with this printer, so no worrys about spending £25 for another one.

(take out the spaces)

Hi Chillyslade,

Try this..

Close the CD/DVD guide, then press the

maintenance button.
If the CD/DVD tray is inserted, remove the CD/DVD tray, then close the CD/DVD guide
