LCD monitors do not degauss. It is not possible due to the CRT and LCD technology differences.

A hand held soldering iron with a trigger will degauss a monitor. Don't actually touch the iron to the monitor. Just run it around the edges while holding the trigger. A little trick I picked up while working on radar sets.

Shivering screen

Shaking or trembling of a computer screen is often caused by interference from another device that is within a couple feet.
It can also be caused by another monitor close by.
If the removal of these objects does not stop the trembling, the monitor may have built up magnetism and need to be degaussed.
Find the menu button for your monitor.
This is usually on the front of the monitor.
It is sometimes on the side of the monitor.
Push the menu button. Scroll down until you find the screen option.
Select "Screen."
Scroll down to the degauss option.
Select "Degauss."
Select "OK."
The screen will make a tuning sound, as if you hit a guitar string.
The screen will shake and vibrate.
The shaking should now be gone.
If it is not, it will need to be looked at by a professional.

How do i degauss my dell SE198WFP, i don't see a degauss button nor does it do it automatically

You cannot "Degausse" a flat panel screen. Degaussing is actually the de-magnetisation of the chassis of the Cathode Ray Tube. Flat panels don't have CRT's.

Monitor colour is ok in the middle circle and on right side it seems to loose the red colour and on the left it seems the green colour is missing.

The CRT has likely become magnetized. On the monitor's main menu there is a "degauss" option. It is the option depicting a horseshoe magnet. Select that option to degauss the CRT, and the color distortion should clear up. If it improves but does not clear up entirely, degauss the CRT again. Is the monitor situated near a magnet (such as a speaker, a subwoofer, or some other source of magnetic field)? If so, either move the monitor away from the magnetic field source or move the magnetic field source away from the monitor, then degauss the CRT by selecting that option from the main menu on the monitor. Was the monitor dropped? If so, a series of electromagnets at the back of the CRT (called the "blue lateral") may have come loose. This is somewhat challenging to align and is best handled by a technician.

Small vertical line .

You can try to degauss it, not sure if that's the problem. May be something that cannot be fixed. Bring up the on-screen menu, locate the degauss option , and select it. You should now hear the degaussing noise, and the screen will probably display a brief burst of color.

A lot of line on the screen & black cycle appear under left corner of the screen. But, we can use Excel and other application .

This happens if you have any strong magnetic field near by the monitor like speakers etc.

I suggest you to keep that a bit far from the monitor as the magnetic field of it will affect the monitor screen.

And press menu button in monitor and search for the degauss option (Most of the monitors have this option), press degauss option, this must fix your discoloration issue.

My lcd samsung sync master 720n horizantaliy one line on screen

Hi

Please try the following

1) Degauss the monitor - this can be done by using the menu system on the monitor scroll through the options and click/highlight the degauss option

2) Change the VGA lead going from the monitor to the PC

3) Ensure you have no unshielded mangnetic sources near by like speakers etc

If after trying the above the fault is still apparent then unfortunatley your monitor is at fault and will need to be repaired

If this has been useful please leave postive feedback/vote

This problem is normally resolved by degaussing your monitor?.
This option is found normally on the control panel buttons of the monitor. Just press the menu option and look for the Degauss option.
You should have the option someplace on the monitor controls.
It will disperse any magnetic build-up that has taken place on your monitor over time.
Also check for any electronic items if they are placed too close to your monitor as the magnetic field from other items might be the reason for the same.

Screen turns like a blueish color???

Hi,

This is because of the degauss error. If its a CRT monitor, please try to degauss it yourself, if you have the option in the monitor, else, take it to the nearest service station and ask them to degauss it.

This would help..

Permanent dots and lines have been developed at the right corner of the monitor how can i remove them

Try this; it may help. There are some buttons in front of the monitor. Hit the "menu" button. See if you have a "degauss" option. Select the "degauss". If the monitor has stayed close to a magnetic source, it will be effected by the magnetic (try to put a magnet close to the screen and you will see what I am talking about). The "degauss" will take care of the problem.

Or you may simply have a bad monitor. Good luck.

I want to permentely turn off degauss mode in my monitor

Do you have everything plugged into a surge protection power strip?   If not consider getting one, as this will eliminate the Voltage Spikes which may be caused by everything coming on at the same time.
