Hi ya..... My wipers on my S reg BMW 528i touring (E39) do not work when there is heavy rain.... It's only started happening over the last 2 or 3 months. Any ideas? IS it the wiper motor or the relay? Also do you know the BMW part number for the motor? Unless I get it removed to locate the number I cannot buy the motor....... I need a cheap and quick way of resolving this

The wiper relay is a common cause of this failure. It is not very expensive and easy to replace. Search Google to find a replacement and instructions. Use these terms: e39 wiper relay

Remove arm(s), put wiper motor in park,(shut off) then re-install arm at base of windshield where they were before,when shut off.(in park position.)

check the wiper relay on the l/s in negine bay where your engine ecu is fitted it is situated at the bottom and can get in to some water

no way to test without the factory scan tools.

I have a Range Rover 2006 and suddenly under heavy rain the wipers atrat going very fast and quit working, I change the speed and work again but after a minute the wipers quit. And I can not find the problem . Somebody can help me?
