The start buttons are not working in scan mode

the start buttons are not working in scan mode. Press them and nothing happens. The other buttons work, such as the two buttons directly below the screen.

Scan from the scanner and camera wizard, the front scan button is useless. Go to My computer, open the scanner icon and scan from there, no need to use the button at all.
