The picture wont come on and the tv shuts off

the picture tube blew out you need to just replace it mine costs 250 if your tv is newer you might still qualify for free bulb replacement like i did but you have to have your reciept to fax to them so they can ship you your free bulb and then you place the bad bulb in box and return. the button blinks you need a new bulb they are good for 2 1/2 years if you keep it on always and use it for computer monitor like I do. but that is what your problem is.
