Can't get my optimum online email to work on my blackjack 2 and all settings are correct I think..same as i use on outlook and that works

ask MS yet, ask them if is a microsoft email account?

step one is to go to your webmail first, not outlook
see if web mail works first, online and directly. (windows 10 are you)

if web mail access fails, then that is the problem and fix it there first.
Outlook is a email client APP
try web mail. first. if that works then correct our credentials in outlook next per the web mail instructions to do that.
next time tell you webmail server name. like this

so what u trying and wanting to do with it here being coneected meens its looking at whatever in i pohone not what u did before cuse if u set it to work online it would edit the date so ya set it offline so it dont think its contecting online program so trricky what and do u have latest firmware in i phone and updates for office outlook ?

Who is your email provided by? AT&T? Yahoo? Hotmail? Gmail?

You need to go to www.google.com and in the search box type your provider and search for the settings that should go with outlook express. For example if my email is provided through Yahoo. I would type in the search box "yahoo mail and outlook express". You will see how to configure the PoP3 and SMTP for sending and receiving mail through outlook.

Before doing all that it just seems like your problem might be that you have the wrong password in the outlook setup for PoP3. Edit your settings in Outlook and make sure you have the correct password. I think you click tools or edit when you have outlook open to get to the email accounts and edit the settings. Do this first and you can test it to see if it is working.

Can't send email in outlook
Outlook is an email client, much like outlook express or Windows Live mail.
TO work correctly the email client has the information already set up in to be able to contact the mail server (the computer with your email messages), and also authenticate you as a user (an email address and password).
In some cases you also need to configure the email servers (basically provide the server information directly to the system)
The newer version of Outlook can try to detect these settings, with decent success.

In order to make it work, open Outlook and click set up new email account.
Provide your name, email address, and password, servers, etc.

Since you didn't provide the name of the email provider (yahoo, msn, gmail, etc.) I will assume you know the specifics for it.
Also note that some free email accounts do not work well with Outlook. I know MSN and free yahoo mail accounts don't work very well.

Backjack causing SMTP issues, could you please search over google to get a cab, may i know your sim provider name ? Samsung has already posted many bug fixing files so try to grab them from google or somewhere les.e

ATT tech support & several web forums confirm that sending a SMS from your computer via an IM, (like Yahoo Messenger,etc.) to a PDA cellular is web based and requires a data plan. However, you can send a text message via email to cellular phones and receive replies. It is easy and just as fast. You have to know the recipients carrier to obtain the proper email address. Have you ever had Outlook configured correctly to access your email server and download messages?
It sounds like you have set outlook as the default email client but you have not yet configured the email account settings within outlook so that outlook knows how to connect to your mail server online.
Please refer to this link or this link for instructions on how to do this.
Check the programs tab of Internet Options in control panel and make sure Outlook appears as the default email client.

If you follow the instructions in this tutorial you should be able to enter your administrative account and ensure that the Office Diagnostics program runs with sufficient privileges...I believe that will correct this error message...
If not, If you have correctly configured your email accounts within outlook and outlook is set as the default, please see this posting and the recommended change to correct the situation.

Ring your ISP and have them run through support with you. They can diagnose more effectively the issue and see if yopu can get online at all.
It may be the case that you need to use another email client (outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail if you have Vista, or even Mozilla Thunderbird or SeaMonkey. Both of the last 2 are Open Source which means they are free to download and use).
