I have a Zanussi ZWC1300W washing machine on which the End programme light flashes 5 times, nothing else works. I called out an engineer who said the code meant 'no data' and I would need a new circuit board which would cost £270!!!! Is this correct and could I buy the circuit board myself cheaper and fit it as I am quite competant and have already replaced the belt on the machine? It is only 3 years old and has been used for 2 years as it was stored for one year. It seems a pity to scrap it.

Thank you! I did slide the lid off and jiggled the wires at the back of the circuit board and lo and behold - it lives! Saved £270 and my conscience at sending another piece of white goods to the landfill site.
Plug off the wall; open up behind; check to see that all connections are firm fixed. Due to vibrations, etc, some may have come loose - to give you wrong or no data. People always want to sell you something.....always, service is quite another story..............................Read the manual carefully.
