I'm sorry to hear you are having this trouble ... I want to help you with this.
Please pop the top on your dryer. There may be a screw or two in the top but it is normally held down with spring clips.
Remove the front of the machine being careful of the door switch wires. As you pull the front away, the drum will come free of the front bearing.
I believe the felt bearing on the front of the drum is worn or dirty. You can clean it and you can probably replace it. Another option is turn up the radio ... that was what I tried for a while.
You can probably find replacement parts at a FixYa.com advertiser, your local Appliance parts store or at
www.repairclinic.com . I suggest if you are going to go to this work, you may wish to consider replacing the belt at the same time. You should also clean the entire interior while it it open.
There are other possible sources of the noise you describe, I believe this is probably your trouble, however.
