Hello Question? was your tv plugged into a surge protector or just into the wall plug. If plugged into surge protector and stopped working you need to see if your surge insure's your product. I have a monster surge protector on all my electronics and it covers up to $25,000 you have to register and submit proper documentation. In the future if this can be fixed please invest in a good surge protector. if you just plugged into the wall plug. Something durning storms something inside tv could have gotten zapped and if YOU go inside to DIY {do it your self} that voids the warranty on your tv so you would have to contact a authorized tv repair and have them do a in home diagnostic on it and alot of them will be honest and let you know what you need. If it can or is worth being fixed and some offer discount for going through them for diagnostic But what is so cool. You can also use their info to get a 2nd opinion call the manufature and ask to speak with tech support and run that by them and see what they say. Then that way you will be at peace with whatever decision you make :)
