Series 70 Electric Dyer is not heating up to dry. When I turn it on and look in the dryer while it is on the left hand vent is red. Is the right side supposed to light up? Is this a bad element? If so how do I change it? Randydryer

We cleaned the lint out of the entire unit. We do not see any spark from the ignitor, nor do we smell any gas, so we're thinking that maybe it's something that triggers the spark to ignite and the gas to turn on in the burner. My wife also said that when she went to check on the laundry the timer dial had not moved from the original setting. The drum turns and it sounds like it is working, but there is no heat. Thermostat? Replaced heating element, thermal cutoff and thermostat on Kenmore elite becuase dryer would not heat. Dryer worked fine for about 2 weeks after replacing the parts, but now is back to square one. Dryer not heating again. I suspect the cutoff again, but not sure and should it have cutoff so quickly?
