Question about Dell E153FP 15" LCD Monitor
I have recently been given one of these and all it does when you apply power to it is emmit a real low chirping noise. been looking around for information and all i found was to check cold solder joints. the board looks fine. nothing looks burned. also found out by replacing Q604 which is 2N7000 and says can be replaced with 2N2222 with 10k resistor which i didnt quite get where to place it if its true. any info would be appreciated..
please email me at email@example.com with whatever info.
First find out why you need to change this transistor, if it is shorted or open then replace it , but be carefull when you substitute parts which could create havoc, to check the spec's of these to components look up the 2n7000 note the specs and see how close the 2n2222 relates to , my recommendation is to get the original.
