Nextar ma852-801 mp3 freezing...reset?

Here's a few ideas (with so little info on your problem):
1-scroll up and down the menu with the left/right arrows, hit the M button to play whatever selection (music, video, ebook...) is showing.
2-REGULAR MAINTENANCE: when your Nextar is connected to the computer via USB, open My Computer, right click "Nextar", select 'properties'. Under 'tools', check for disk errors and defrag the Nextar - and Backup if you want.
THIS should help!

Not really enough info but to turn it on, hold down the pause/play button until you see a screen coming on. After the main screen loads, whatever is selected from the menu (music, video, ebook...) will play when you hit the M button.
To scroll up and down the main menu, use the right and left arrow buttons.

Hi, follow the instructions below to reset your Nextar mp3 player

To customize the player settings:
(1) On the main menu, select the “Settings”item and press the MENU button to enter the
system settings mode.
(2) Press the PREVIOUS/NEXT button to select setting item and press the MENU button to
confirm or press the PLAY/PAUSE button to cancel/return.
(3) System
(4) Load Default - Restore the player to default setting

Try resetting the device it?s usually a small pinhole on the back or side of the device try holding that in for about 10 seconds OR Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

Format your Mp3 on PC by FAT32 format and copy those on your Mp3 player folder

try formatting it just copy the songs to a cpu then format it depending on ur os if ur using lin contact me at [email protected]

Nextar MA933A – Deleting Playlists
There are a couple of different ways to approach this problem.
You could 1. connect the Nextar to your computer
2. Double-click My Computer
3. Double-click the icon that corresponds to the Nextar – this is going to be different for every computer – some will have an actual Nextar icon, some will display it as USB Mass Storage Device, and others will list it as a Removable Drive – if it is listed as a Removable Drive, you can find the right one by double-clicking each removable drive until it gives you a new window with folders labeled Music, etc.
4. Enter the Music folder and Delete the folder that corresponds to the playlist that you want to delete

If that set of methods fails, or your mp3 player does not allow you to view the contents of the drive:
1. Go to the MSC menu
2. Press MENU button
3. When you see a song displayed in the LCD, press the Play key to pause the song
4. Once song is paused, press the MENU button
5. Select “Delete File,” and select the songs you want to delete
6. Use the Menu left/right keys to toggle between “Yes” delete and “No” don’t delete

i think i have a solution. if it is pretty easy to press that button you are talking about than the button might be jammed.
