The cursor jumps around on my E-105-S1402, suddenly moving to an entirely different place on the screen or moving back in a typed line so what I'm typing suddenly is inserted in a previuosly typed sentence. What is the story? And is there a cure?
Yes. Most probably, you are involuntarily very lightly touching the surface of your touchpad with the base of your (usually right) thumb. Some touchpad drivers have special settings to ignore very light strokes to avoid this effect - try your pointing device settings in the control panel. If yours doesn't, you just have to remember to keep your hands at such an angle as to avoid contact with the touchpad. A soft wristrest may help, as it elevates your wrists a bit; gel-type wrist support is my favorite. Good luck :)

My Toshiba Satelite A105-S1712 went dead while recovering hard drive with recovery disk. When turned on no lights or sound. Seems completely dead but worked great before this happened. Tried another ac adapter cord, still did not work. Have removed the battery and tried only with ac adapter. Did not work. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Toots

I can´t turn it on. I´ve had it checked and everything seems to be OK, although I suspect the battery´s life is ending. The current passes through, because the blue light is on, but it doesn´t turn on, and there´s no problem with the electric line.

I am so frustrated. This program feels like a scam to me. I have uploaded the pop several times; tried to fax the pop to 2 separate fax numbers provided and sent a copy in the postal mail; emailed customer service and still the status remains on my brother's request for a windows upgrade remains as "new" requires valid pop. This has been going on since November 4th. I purchased my notebook from hp and received my upgrade immediately. Needless to say in the future, toshiba will not be our choice for purchasing merchandise!
