Exactly how is it printing?

With words not printing properly?
On my epson, I went and bought Cheaper Ink, which was supposed to be compatible,and it wasnt!

What the epson, did, was print out in different colors.
the green was blue and yellow was pink, etc.

Epson, restricts you from buying other brands, like that. It makes you buy their Brand !!!!!!!
