Parts to be checked are thermal fuse, thermal cutoff, heating element and fan. Thermal fuse, element and thermostat are tested reading ohms with a multimeter. If they return no continuity (circuit open), then the part is faulty. Thermostat must read zero or low impedance at room, and no continuity at limit temperature.

The dual action on my Kenmore 70 Series stopped turning. It would pull the clothes down into the bottom of the tub, where the agitater cleaned them. I took the top off but couldn't see what the problem might be.
