Question about RCA TH1101 MP3 Player
I have the same problem with RCA TH1101, PC with XP 3 does not recognize the player but it used to. Are there any answers to help with this?

This Is Kevin I have a problem with my RCA MP3 Player and it now can't respond to all the usb ports including my buddies PC computer usb port..... and i was wounding if i have to install the software again.. and i am notified that i would have to uninstall the software before i install the software again... But just wounding of anybody perspective that if the usb mp3 player has gone bad.. just give me some insite if the RCA MP3 player tends to go badly quit on people ..... thank you for Reading..... Both the TH1100 and TH1101 require Windows 2000 (Service Pack 3), Windows XP
(Service Pack 1 or higher) or Windows Vista. All of these OS's will recognize the players without you installing any drivers.

SOURCE: RCA TH1100A turns off
The headphone jack is damaged, and probably interfering with the pwoer supply system of the chip - that mp3 player is toast, b/c the parts you need: A)would cost more than a new one, and B) are no longer available. Wish I had better news.
You can try the soft fixes - reset, firmware upgrade, but they most likely will not work
