Was working fine last night ,went to turn it on and you can hear a buzzing by where you plug in your jacks a bee,or high pitch sound.tv has no picture or sound.only sound you hear is this buzzing

Sounds like your power supply is causing the problem. Unplug the TV wait 10 minutes, look in the back for a red button (circuit breaker) push it in. If this does not work you have a low voltage power supply fault.

Plug tv in but all it does is make a thump thump noise. power will not come on.

The problem is most likely caused by a defective fly-back transformer, it generates the high voltage that energizes the picture tube and along with the video circuits produces a picture, to repair the set would not be cost effective when you consider the parts and labor involved, better to replace.

This may be a "ISL9860" chip on your T-con board - I saw a nice youtube video by norcal715 you can do a web search for "norcal715 samsung" & a few from him will pop up. The one I watched was at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2jzLn5QEos
You might contact him through his youtube video.

There are two identical IC's I think they are 18 pin more or less about half way up the board on the left side in the power supply. You will know them when you see them. They may be bad. It is a common problem on that model. If this helps let me know.

Mitsubishi rear proj 1997 model 45-50in

It's a 1997 TV, I recommend buying a new one. If you have to get it repaired it will cost you more than the TV is worth.

No picture or sound

You can unplug the tv from the wall for 30 min. and plug it back in to see if this will fix it. If it dosen't a repair tech will need to fix it.

KV-XJ29M50 29" TV-Loud thumping sound on startup

Symptoms are not related, what you hear is the high voltage turning on and that is normal if it only does it for less than a second, the grainy picture might be intermitant, dont turn it off, when the picture is grainy tap the side of the set to see if it racts and if it does you know you have a loose conection. This could be outside because of a loose ground on tha cable or inside in the tuner.
