How do I get the scanner to automatically tab after a read?

yes - if you are in excel you need to set the parameters on the scanner/software before hand - you can find software for this on the motorola web site

this can be done automatically, just by scanning three programming barcodes. Please follow the steps in the attached document. https://docs.symbol.com/attachments/ADC-01244.doc

Go into Device Manager and double click on USB Print Support. In Driver tab, click uninstall. After uninstall, power reset the computer. Once computer turns back on, it should automatically start the re-installation process of the printer. Then you select let windows do automatic search for the proper driver.

Check that you have correctly installed its driver. If not, then no problem Connect your scanner Right Click on My Computer click on properties then click on device manager(for windows xp,click on tab Hardware and then on device manager) select your scanner from the list of given hardware and double click on it then click on the tab driver then click on update driver finally click on search automatically
make sure automatic update is available and you are connected to the internet

Right click SnapScan icon > Settings > Scanning Tab > Select Options and UNCHECK "Automatic Image Rotation"> OK > APPLY and you should be set!

You have to scan the TAB code from the user manual to "program" the scanner.

Do you have the manual/CD that came with the scanner? If so, you should be able to "create a new rule" and include the TAB as a "suffix" to the scan string. Just be aware that this behavior will always be in place (unless you disable the rule) so if you use the scanner for another application this may not be the best option.

tab? what tab are we referring to? I know this printer quite well, and I'm at a loss for understanding this aspect?
