The top condenser coil gets frost on it and is really cool, but the other coils do not get cooled at all. For this reason, the unit doesn't produce even 10% of the normal water in the catch bucket. Outside air temp is about 82 degrees F, so that should not be the problem. I have an identical unit and it works great with all the condenser coils getting cool.
I'm wondering why the cooling fluid can't make it past the first coil.
thx
The way i see it, there 's a two possible reason why this happen
1. maybe you have a leak and your refigerant is under charge, why do'nt you open up the unit and do some leak testing by using soap bubble.
2. it may be clogged, How old is your unit, it is just a hint but maybe when your system reach a certain degree or level of temperature reading, even though your motor is running but the refrigerant can't pass thru the capillary tube(the very thin copper tube) and clogged onthe strainer. But this is too technical so I advise is you might need some actual technical assistance from a tech guy.

the machine sounds like it's running fine. it turns on and off on its own, but the bucket is not filling with water. It is reading 70 pecent humidity and its set on 40. So there is plenty of humidity in the area.
