If the app is a 16-bit app, change the compatibility to run with win98 or nt.

Right click the app, select properties, on the compatibility tab, you will have the title "Compatibility mode" under this you will have to check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for: you will have a drop down menu select the os say win98/me. which is a 16-bit OS, click ok. Now run the program.

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I am not sure exactly what you are asking. It is a 32bit OS by default. Certain versions are 64bit, and if you have this version you don't need to buy a new license, Microsoft will ship you the 32bit version on CD if you pay shipping.
