Question about Sony Network Walkman NW-E105

1 Answer

Network Walkman When I first purchased the product, I put music on it, no problem.  Well, I decided I wanted to put different music on.  I deleted it through the sonicstage software, but it still says most of the memory is full.  When I go to play it, there's no music on it.  How do I free up the memory so i can put different songs on the walkman?

Try to open the device so right click on start, on your desktop, and click explore, and at the find your device on the left, and look through the files, and find what is taking up your memory, and delete it

Deleting music from a sony walkman

You should be able to browse the media play on your PC just like any other drive and delete the flies you don't want. Once plugged in via USB cable, you can just go to either Windows Explorer or a media application like Windows Media Player.

I have a Sony walkman (16 GB) and don't know how to delete all the songs on it, so I can start over. Please help

You have to use Windows to delete songs off of the player. If using content transfer you just select the music folder and check the boxes of everything you don't want and then press delete. If using Windows Media Player 11, go to the sync tab and select your walkman. Delete anything you don't want.

Another option is to format the entire thing but that will erase everything that is on there.

Sony walkman 1 gig mp3

If you just deleted the Music folder with all of the music files together, then you may want to recreate the Music folder. If it's already there, then you may want to reinstall the firmware software on the Sony Support Center.

Good luck and Happy Holidays.

Walkman

Hi...I just found help on the sony support page www.sony.com. You can delete songs by going to MY COMPUTER and clicking on the walkman as a storage device and delete files right from there under the music folder. Your MP3 will update when you unplug it from the computer.

Deleting music and putting new music on

try your media player, when you connect it to your computer via usb cord, a window should pop up and ask what you want to do, open with media player, or manually open media player, and press f5, and see if it recognizes the mp3 player, and if so, your set
