Problem for Garmin n vi 350 GPS Receiver

My Garmin nuvi 350 only half of screen is visible

My Garmin nuvi 350 only half of screen is visible however the touch screen works just fine on both sides of the screen. I just can not see what I am touching. It is an older model , so Garmin wants $85 to provide me a replacement. Any thoughts on how to fix myself? I am willing to open it up since it is bascially useless
