I have the same problem

Matsui universal remote control (4 in 1) won't tune into my Matsui dvd227 player. I have tried the codes in the manual and the search procedure, any suggestions.

I have a manual here for a Matsui universal remote which has 4 digit codes, which brands do you need?

I have checked the manual and there are no instructions for tuning the channels once you have tuned in the set to the remote, but it is meant to work in the same way as the original remote control, so if you follow that procedure it should work.
