It hangs at ak.static.facebook as well as ebaystatic, and other websites with either 'ak' or 'static' in the redirect bar. I've deleted and redownloaded my browser, tried to delete the cache and temp files (never know if that works, or if it stores regardless of deleting attempts), disabled and uninstalled add-ons that could be interfering (such as adblock plus), deleted the actual profile folder in windows explorer (start menu), reset the router and modem and rebooted my computer multiple times, tried internet explorer instead of firefox, ran antivirus and antispyware software (spybot found no infections, neither did McAfee), and I used the cleaner and defrag multiple times to make sure my computer wasn't running slow for a silly reason. The websites that I know about (and frequent) are facebook, myspace, and ebay. All of the other websites seem to be fine (of course I don't know of every single one out there)... I fix this problem temporarily, but it always comes back within 30 minutes of either disabling an add-on or downloading the browser fresh. What's my problem?!!!

Hi J Ross,
Hopefully you've already solved your problem! If not, try doing the following:
1] Open your 'System Preferences' from the Apple menu;
2] Locate and click on 'Sharing' in the System Preferences window;
3] Make sure that "Remote Login", "Remote Management" & "Remote Apple Events" are NOT checked.
-If they are checked, that could be how someone else is able to get access to your MacBook.
-If they were not checked, then we'll have to try something else.
Hope this helps & good luck!
Open your browser. In the address bar, type in www.facebook.com, do not go there by using a bookmark, favourite or shortcut.
Do you still get "redirected" ?

Just add( 8.12.42.51 ) (farkle site) to your trusted sites and cookies.
Then add (static.ak.fbcdn.net) (facebook site) to your cookies and trusted sites.
Facebook is webpage and can be accessed at any time, you might not have deleted facebook.
Redirection looks browser cache issue. Try following to clear browser cache
On IE7, try opening internet explorer, go to tools, click on options, on Browser History click on "Delete", and select all options,and click delete
Within Internet Explorer, click Tools, and Internet Options, and then delete all temporary Internet files. Close Internet Explorer.
Re-open Internet Explorer.
Is it just one person's FACEBOOK web-page that causes the problem, or does the problem occur on *ALL* FACEBOOK web-pages?
Does the problem occur *ONLY* when accessing FACEBOOK web-pages?
If you're using an older version of Internet Explorer, upgrade to IE7 or IE8.
