My cd drive dosent reads or des not work at all

be sure to check that the power supply cable is properly connected to the cd drive. also check the IDE/SATA cable. if the cd drive is working and you hear some movement inside but it doesnt read any cd, try to remove the cd drive and open it by removing its cover. clean the lens using a dry cotton swab and use a compress air to remove the accumulated dust inside. if this doesnt work, maybe its about time to replace your cd drive with a new one available in the market. goodluck
