On the R. side of the keyboard is a key that says mode or print mode press it and the DL PRINT will go out on the display and it's done.

WHEN YOU HIT A KEY IT ADVANCES BUT DOES NOT PRINT

If it prints when you hit return you are in delay print mode, press the print mode key on the R. of the keyboard. If it dosen't print at all the plastic print solenoid cap is broken. We sell them with shipping and instructions for 20.00.

I have a a Lexmark Wheelwriter 3500 and it has the delayed printing function, well this does not seem to be working correctly it is typing before it should. what can i do to correct this problem?

If it types as you press the kets delay print is turned off, press the print mode key on the r
R. side until Dl prt is on the display. If it just starts typing at a the same position every time you probably have the R. margin set there and auto return on (CODE R).

I am only getting half of the letters, and it is stuck on del, typing how can I get it off delayed typing?

I'M assuming this is a wheelwriter 30 or similar. On the R. side of the keyboard is a key that says print mode press that and the dl prt will go off on the display. If you are only printing the tops of the letters the platen is probably not fully seated in the side frames press down firmly on both ends it should snap into place.

Wheelwriter 30 series 2.

Put in a multi part form and type if the print is good on the carbons the problem is ribbon or ribbon lifting, if the print is poor the print solenoid cap is probably cracked. We sell the cap with instructions and shipping for 20.00.

Wheelwriter 6, seems stuck on print delay

If this a WW6 it must have the display option. there is a slide switch on the display that is set in delayed print.

Someone used the typewriter and hit some code in error.

If it is in the delay print mode it will print when you hit ret. If this is not the case you probably need a print solenoid cap, they are available but a little tricky to install.

How do i turn off the delayed type on a ibm wheelwriter6

at the very top right of your keyboard there is a "print mode" key
press this key until the note in the left lower coner of the display says "char print"
however in delay print you can correct mistakes before you print - saves on correction tape
