Idiots using espresso machine!

the vienna De Lux was purchased by a friend of mine... I would like to help him figure out how to fix his machine and it's an unfortunate set of circumstances! the machine was abused by another person... they put water in with the coffee beans in the auto- grinder hopper. I know... idiot! but appearently it's been sitting ever since! he's not touched it... and it's essentially gathering dust. I will play with it in the next couple of days... need more info on warranty (whether or not there is one) or I will attempt to do as much research and trouble shooting for him... I am an avid believer that saeco carries great produces... and would like him to get his money's worth... it was a 1000.00 machine for him in the beginning! :)

First thing you can try is cleaning out the grinder. You can find instructions at http://www.cerinicoffee.com/Saeco_technical_documents.asp.

However you might be too far gone and need attention of a service center.
