The dvd player displays a big yellow box in the middle of the screen with PSCAN with an exclamation point above it. Also the screen is showing the right side with a wide split between them. This is the first time I have tried to use this dvd player. What can I do?

I found the manual for this dvd player online. There is a switch on the back of the player. PSCAN is Progressive Scan. Some TV's are not compatible with this function so the switch must be turned off. This worked and I was watching a dvd last night!
